Thank you for taking the time to consider our hand made traditional Russian Orthodox coffin.  If this is a time of sadness and bereavement for you and your family, our condolences go out to you.

Our efforts at
Kizhi woodworks are focused on providing a traditional alternative to the existing secular burial casket selection.  Our coffins are carefully hand made, mindfully following the shape and form passed down through generations at The Holy Trinity Monastery, Jordanville, New York.

Please keep in mind that by law you are free to select a coffin or casket from any source

We have our models in stock, and are priced competitively.  We provide personal 24 hour delivery throughout the North East, and 48 hour delivery nationwide, to the funeral home of your choice.

All models of our coffins include the following features:

A full length Cross is hand painted and lettered in antique gold on the cover.

'Holy God, Holy Mighty, Holy Immortal, Have Mercy On Us' is hand painted on the top sides, Slavonic or English.

An unbleached muslin Savan (throw) with a beautifully embroidered Cross.  The Savan is eight feet long, and provided as a three-quarter drape during the
panikhida and otpevaniye services, it is then tucked around the reposed prior to the closing of the coffin, with the embroidered Cross chest high.  A  Resting pillow is included

Solid Brass handles, through-bolted.

Dowels and latches for a secure closing mechanism.

Dimensionally, our coffins will fit within all burial vaults and liners.

Again, we appreciate your consideration of our traditional Russian Orthodox coffin.  If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to call.

Thank you,
Nikolai R. Lukianov
